Exterior Painting for Mountain Weather

In our Colorado mountain service areas, a well-prepped exterior painting system typically lasts around 5-7 years on painted siding and 5-7 years on many stained surfaces, depending on UV, weather exposure and product choice. South- and west-facing walls tend to weather faster. During your estimate, we can give you a more specific expectation based on your home’s condition and elevation.

We provide exterior painting and staining for wood siding (including cedar and log homes), fiber cement, stucco, brick, and metal gutters and trim. We’ll inspect each surface, recommend the right prep, and select products that are appropriate for that substrate so the finish adheres and wears properly.

In most cases, yes. We use washing methods appropriate to the surface to remove dirt, chalking, mildew, and loose material. On delicate or older substrates, we may use lower-pressure cleaning combined with hand prep so we don’t damage the siding while getting it ready for paint or stain.
